Kudos to MPS for organising Samarahan Food & Cultural Festival 2020 #SFF2020

Kudos to Kota Samarahan Municipal Council #MPS for organising the annual #Samarahan Food & Cultural Festival 2020 -#SFCF2020 this July. I applaud Chairman of MPS, Dato Peter Mi­nos who said the event was one of the out­comes of the MPKS col­lab­o­rate with Sa­ma­ra­han Res­i­dent Of­fice to or­gan­ise a re­ally big and iconic #SFCF) in July at Kota Sa­ma­ra­han. 

According to the organisers, the #SFCF2020 will see over 100 stalls of ex­otic and spe­cial food and drink manned by mem­bers of Malay, Bugis, Iban, Bi­dayuh and Chi­nese com­mu­ni­ties among oth­ers.

It heartening to see several In­done­sian and Thai na­tion­als re­sid­ing here will also set up stalls which are selling a variety of cuisines and products. We congratulate the coun­cil and its members who seeks to pro­mote the fast grow­ing district with over 45, 000 res­i­den­tial homes, in­sti­tu­tions like Un­i­mas, UITM, ILP, Teach­ers Train­ing Col­lege, In­tan and In­fra and govern­ment of­fices to make it a happy liv­ing place. The #SFCF2020 will add in cul­tural pre­sen­ta­tions by the var­i­ous eth­nic groups of Sarawak, In­done­sia and Thai­land. It is also good for MPKS to also plan­ to hold an an­nual walkaton, marathon and / or bi­cy­cle race with Batang Sadong and Batang Sama­ra­han bridges as the venues for the proposed events that can become part of a good sports tourism initiative in that areas.
