SIBU: People in constituencies under the opposition would get less attention, even simple allocations to parent-teacher associations (PTAs) would be hard to come by, said PBB supreme council member Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.
“This is because the opposition lacks the necessary track record to provide any positive transformation to their constituencies,” he explained.
“The BN, on the other hand, has a long track record of fulfilling the wishes of the people.
“And BN MPs and assemblymen don’t fail in their responsibilities whether as an ear or a spokesman for the people, and a contributor for many activities of the people.”
Abdul Karim, who is Assistant Minister of Youth Development and Asajaya assemblyman, was asked to respond to DAP fielding Hai Merawin in Mukah and pharmacist Oscar Ling in Sibu.
“BN is not worried of whoever the opposition is going to place as their candidates.
“What is important is whether these candidates can fulfil their roles as ‘wakil rakyat’ or people’s representatives in the event they win or they become just like the other opposition YBs now… barking and making noises but unable to provide positive transformation to their constituencies.
