KUCHING: Youth Asistant Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah advises residents of Asajaya and those living in the flood prone areas in the state to be vigilant and ready for flood threat.
"Make sure children and important items are always in safe situation and save a bit extra food at home," he said in his text.
According to a news report yesterday, quoting the state director of Meteorological Department Loh Eng Kee, Sarawak would continue to experience occasional intermittent rain in the next three to four days but would not cause any floods in the state.
Meanwhile the state director of Drainage and Irrigation Department Wong Siu Hong was quoted as saying two flood prone areas - namely Pantu and Marudi - were put on the ‘yellow alert’ category.
