Highlights of my welcoming speech during the New Year 2024 Countdown event

In my welcoming speech during the recent "New Year 2024 Countdown" event, I have mentioned that it is our people's support for Sarawak government that is the driving force for us to continue with the implementation of development agenda throughout the state. 

There are a lot of development programs were well planned, and some have even been completed as a result of the cooperation of the people and the Sarawak government. With regards to that, we hope for solid support from the local people to make the administration and management in 2024 even  better. We can achieve a prosperous development process if the common people support the government so well.

Looking back at the year 2023, it was so meaningful where various things were successfully achieved. Hence, we feel proud to be Sarawakians because we can see that the administration of this state is the most stable in Malaysia. 

The people's trust in our Right Honourable Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari's leadership which has not only earned Sarawak recognition from other states within Malaysia, but also recognition from overseas such as the World Bank.

Therefore, we hope for the people in this state to play their part in maintaining the social harmony and cooperation with the government to make Bumi Kenyalang more advanced in the future. We need to maintain the unity among members of our multi-racial society and we need to remember on how much we have achieved together... in the end we need to look back at what we have worked so hard. We will continue the good things and put the negative things aside.
