It was such a pleasure for us to have met in person Masanori Takahashi or more popularly known as Kitaro one of the world’s legendary musicians and multi award winner.
We had the privilege to have met the Japanese recording artist, composer, record producer, and arranger at the newly furbished Damai Lagoon Resort in Kuching prior to his performance at this year’s Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) which has entered its 27th edition.
Kitaro has a large fan base in Sarawak and is fondly remembered for his electronic-instrumental music, and prominent musical acts of new-age music. He is a humble person and had praised our Sarawakian hospitality as well as the great local food that were served.
Apart from sharing his list of world class performances, the music maestro had also shared some insights of the what drives him to compose music that are delightful to his fans from all walks of life and can endure the test of time.
