Bala peminat ngerami pemenang Tim Sarawak ba Liga Premier 2013

KUCHING: Urung 1,000 iku peminat begelumu di Padang Merdeka kemari ngerami pemujur tim main bol Sarawak nyadi champian Liga Premier 2013.

Raban pemain enggau staf pematih mai tropi champion berengkah ari Jalai Tun Abdul Rahman nuju Padang Merdeka.

Presiden Gerempung Bolasepak Sarawak (FAS) Datu Sudarsono Osman madah, semengat baru udah dipandangka peminat main bol Sarawak lalu mujur ngangkatka semengat pemain.

“Penyukung Sarawak amat manah lalu meri semengat baru ngagai raban pemain ngambika bebendar agi bemain ba atas padang,” ku iya.

Ku iya nambah, pemujur Sarawak nyadi champian ukai sebengkah pekara ti mudah ke alai tiap iku pemain enggau pematih udah bebendar bejalaika tanggung pengawa diri ngambika mujur dalam semua pekit.

Sebedau liga berengkah, FAS netapka tagit nyadi champian liga, bemain ba Liga Super lalu enda alah ba tiap main dalam liga, tandu Sudarsono.

“Dua tagit udah dijapai, tagit ke penudi iya nya ngenanka rikut enda kala alah,” ku iya.

KUCHING: Thousands of Sarawak football fans jam the Padang Merdeka in the heart of the city to cheer the state team as they parade the Premier League trophy they won in an unbeaten run with one more match to play, yesterday afternoon.

The arrival of the players and coaches in an open deck tram was heralded with much fanfare by the hard-core fans, the Sarawak Ultras, who also call themselves GB13.

The supporters, some of whom gathered there in the morning, lined up the roads and streets as the tram wound its way past the Kuching Waterfront to Padang Merdeka where thousands more fans were waiting.

Sarawak Football Association (FAS) president Datu Sudarsono Osman in his speech thanked the supporters for standing by the team even when they were relegated from Super League last year.

“The fans were amazing as they continued to stay behind us. This trophy actually belongs to all the fans who stood behind us,” said Sudarsono.

He revealed that during the team motivational camp early January this year coach Robert Alberts challenged the team to win the Premier League title undefeated to move back to the Super League next season.

Karim bangga dengan prestasi FA Sarawak

KUCHING: Lebih 1,000 peminat membanjiri Padang Merdeka semalam untuk meraikan kejayaan pasukan bola sepak Sarawak menjuarai Liga Premier 2013.

Program meraikan kejayaan itu bermula dengan persembahan kelab penyo-kong yang menyanyikan beberapa lagu pencetus semangat pemain yang kebiasaannya berkumandang di Stadium Negeri.

Para pemain dan staf kejurulatihan kemudiannya membawa piala bersejarah itu berarak dari Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman ke Padang Merdeka.

Presiden Persatuan Bola Sepak Sarawak (FAS) Datu Sudarsono Osman berkata, semangat baharu ditampilkan peminat bola sepak Sarawak dan berjaya meningkatkan semangat pemain untuk berjuang di padang.

“Penyokong Sarawak memang hebat dan memainkan peranan untuk mencetus semangat baharu kepada pemain bagi menampilkan prestasi lebih cemerlang,” katanya.

Menurutnya, kejayaan Sarawak merangkul kejuaraan itu bukan kebetulan kerana setiap pemain dan jurulatih berusaha keras untuk memperolehi kejayaan dalam perlawanan.

Tambahnya, sebelum liga bermula, FAS sudah menetapkan sasaran untuk menjuarai liga, layak ke Liga Super dan bermain tanpa kalah sepanjang saingan liga.

Cycle under night lights at Le’ Park

KUCHING: Cycling enthusiasts can now ride their bikes in comfort at night at Le’ Park’s newly completed mountain bike and jogging trek.

“The 1.75km trek will be completely lighted up at night so the public can cycle along the trek, which is the first lighted mountain bike and jogging trek in Sarawak,” Assistant Minister of Youth Development Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah told reporters after opening the trail with Sarawak Lawn Tennis Association (SLTA) president Dato Patrick Liew here yesterday.

He said the trek would serve as another attraction in the city for cycling enthusiasts looking for a challenge when riding their mountain bikes.

“Though the trek is short at only 1.75km, it is nevertheless sufficient for those who enjoy cycling as it will provide a new and challenging experience,” he added.

The trek at Le’ Park, which is managed and developed by SLTA, is expected to provide the people with a designated place to ride their bikes at night in a safe environment. The place is also installed with spotlights to brighten up the area as well as closed-circuit television (CCTV).

“We have installed eight CCTVs with night vision and 12 spotlights along the trek so it will be quite bright for those who are cycling or jogging here,” said Liew.

According to him, the trek took three months to complete with an estimated cost of RM150,000.

“We did not cut down any trees but merely cleared the bushes to pave way for the trial. While that was being carried out, we found that there are over 100 species of plants along the way so we will be putting up their scientific names,” he said, pointing out that the trek had the potential to also serve as an attraction for visitors as well as photography opportunity for hobbyists.

Liew also noted that there were still some minor improvements to be carried out such as landscaping work and constructing a pavilion.

“Entrance to the trek will be landscaped as well and also there will be ample area for the people to park their bicycles,” he added.

  

Water supply problem in Asajaya will be a history soon

KOTA SAMARAHAN : The people in Asajaya will be able to have better water supply once the water supply problem in the area is solved in six months to one year from now.

Asajaya assemblyman Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said that the government was taking serious effort to solve this water supply problem as could be seen by the many huge pipelines placed along the roadside in Asajaya waiting to be connected to the sources from Kuching.

He added that the water plant in Asajaya itself was unable to supply enough water to all the people in Asajaya and Sadong Jaya due to the increase in population.

Karim said this when met by the media after closing the Shell Traffic Education Programme for Samarahan District 2013 held at Dewan Suarah Kota Samarahan last Monday.

According to Karim , the pipeline conneting work would be slightly delayed due to some problems faced by the contractor.

On the Shell Traffic Education Programme , Karim said it was a good initiative by Shell as it would create greater awareness on road safety among the programme participants so that they would become responsible road users.

“It is good to start this porgramme with school kids because they can practise what have learn and apply it for their whole live,” said Karim.300 school students from 17 schools in Samarhan division participated in the programme.
